About the conference: This annual, day-long training and networking event provides land trust board members, staff, volunteers, municipal commission members and others interested in land conservation with the information, skills, and connections they need to be most effective.
The 2012 conference theme is Working Lands: Farms, Forests and Conservation with a focus on farm and forest stewardship, hot topics in agriculture such as renewable energy, and community-based garden and farm projects.
Proposals should address agriculture and conservation work in the rural, suburban and urban context, and / or subjects that fit into one of the seven topical tracks below.

- Land Management & Stewardship
- Land Protection Tools & Techniques

The 2011 Mass Land Conservation Conference (MLCC) offered 30 workshops attracting over 450 members of the land conservation community and featured nearly 30 exhibits. 2011 Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference
Over 450 of your colleagues and friends attended the 21st Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference on March 26th. The conference offered 30 workshops for land trust volunteers and staff, open space committee and conservation commission members, agency staff, elected officials, watershed associations and anyone else committed to land conservation in Massachusetts. The 2011 Conference Theme was "Climate Change and Land Conservation" with a focus on raising awareness about climate change and ways in which land conservation and stewardship can contribute to mitigation and adaptation.
Thanks for their inspiring presentations to keynote speaker H. Curtis Spaulding, New England Region Administrator, Environmental Protection Agency; and plenary speaker Richard K. Sullivan, Jr., new Secretary of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. Please join us in congratulating Jim Lentowski, Executive Director of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. Jim received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Land Trust Alliance for his 40 years with the Foundation.
And special thanks to the workshop presenters and volunteers who made this day possible.

Close to 500 conservation practitioners came to gether to learn the nuts and bolts of what it takes to conserve land for everyone, forever. Novice and long-time conservationists attended a wide array of workshops on the legal, financial, political and social realities of land conservation. 2009 Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference
Close to 500 members of the land conservation community attended the 19th annual Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference. The largest statewide land trust training day in the nation, this event is open to anyone interested in land conservation - Land Trust Board Members, Volunteers and Staff; CPA Committees, Open Space Committees, Conservation Commissioners, Municipal Employees, Students, etc. More than 30 workshops on all aspects of land conservation work, including a full-day "Boot Camp" specifically for land trust board members, were presented.

18th Massachusetts Land Conservation Conference
Held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at a new, larger venue -- Worcester Technical High School. With record turn-out, the conference completely sold out.
